We found the hostal quite easily following our Sat-Nav. It's in a largely residential area in the eastern part of Funchal. There is a reasonably-priced car park nearby but we were lucky enough to find a space in a nearby street for free. The hostal is accessed through a big metal gate. Inside is a good-sized concrete area with some comfortable seats and coffee tables - popular for al-fresco breakfasts. You enter the hostal through the big well-equipped kitchen/dining area. Beyond that are the bedrooms. We were upstairs - a decent-sized bedroom with compact bathroom and a tiny balcony. The location is good, next door is a small cafe-bar, open in the daytime, but the hostal is only - a 20-min stroll to the Funchal seafront with its bars and restaurants, but within easy reach of the road out of Funchal towards the airport.

The accommodation is very close to the center of Funchal, with excellent access to the city. Everything was clean. An advantage was a small balcony.

The acommodation is in a very good location, close to old town, supermarket and also the cable car. The girl at the reception was very nice and I didn´t have any problem with my check-in or check-out
