We stayed at the Yellow House with friends for six nights. Our group was quite diverse - six adults and three kids, including a one-year-old. The house was very comfortable for all of us - cozy, bright, and spacious enough for both relaxation and fun. It had everything we needed in terms of amenities, and despite not being brand new, it was absolutely clean and welcoming. There were no issues with the number of towels, blankets, or anything else. The backyard is lovely and private, surrounded by beautiful greenery. We ordered pool heating, and it was great - the water was very clean and maintained at a comfortable 25-27°C. We had a small issue with a curtain in one of the bedrooms, but it was fixed within a few hours after I contacted the hosts. The LovelyStay team was very helpful and responsive. Just a heads-up - the gate is quite narrow, so getting into the driveway can be tricky if you’re not an experienced driver. The location is great - just a 5-7 minute drive to CR7, though if you prefer to walk, it will take at least 30 minutes. Thanks a lot, LovelyStay! It truly felt like home. :)

Amazing location, you feel like stay in the middle of park with banana palms at one side and pine trees at other side. Comfortable rooms. Spacious. Modern. Beautiful view out from living room. Possible to park a car near villa or if the car a bit bigger, possible to park it at public parking nearby.

comfy beds, nice pool, very clean. the property is up a steep hill (everywhere is steep in Funchal). it’s a 20-30mins walk downhill to lots of restaurants and bars/cafes/beach bars. there’s a small supermarket and a great bakery 3 minutes walk. This is an urban area and the road is fairly busy but there’s a driveway and trees between the road and the house so it isn’t particularly noisy and it’s private. it’s quiet at night. it’s not overlooked and there is hardly any noise from neighbouring property. car hire isn’t essential if you only want to see Funchal. you can walk all the way down to the old town in 40 minutes (and there’s a lot along the way to see and places to eat etc) and down to the beach and lido in 20. there are plentiful taxis and they all charge about the same 8 -10 euros back up the hill from the town, depending which part you’ve gone to. or you can hire a car. there are two car hire places half way down the hill and they’re friendly and cheaper than the airport. the pool is about 10-12 metres long. good to float about in but not for lengths.
