We booked both houses for our family (two apartments one above the other with a total of three bedrooms, two kitchens, two bathrooms and two living areas). The property is well kitted out with everything you’d need for a self-catering stay. Towels were changed during the week and pool towels were also provided. There’s a laundry area with washing machine that both properties can use too. The decor and furnishings were tasteful and cots and garden toys were provided for children. The garden is beautiful and very private with a lovely swimming pool and large table where you can eat out. There’s also a distant sea view from the property. We absolutely loved our stay and had a wonderful holiday, it was a perfect property, reasonably priced, great quality and the hosts were very welcoming. We were given lots of information and recommendations about the area, restaurants and places to visit and during our stay some delicious cakes were brought to us by the hosts too. There were several good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the property, also a bakery/cafe and a very good, reasonably priced car hire service. We walked into Funchal several times and to the Lido too, both about 20 minutes walk away downhill.
