The apartment had absolutely everything you need for self catering. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Washing machine facilities. More importantly unbelievable sea views. Very spacious self contained apartment. Additional extras available were shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, cleaning products, tennis rackets, snorkeling fins, books, brochures, bottle openers, salt / pepper, sandwich wrapping, spare shopping bags.... you name it, it was present. Bars restaurants and shopping near bar. An unbelievable pastry place around the corner. Also traditional sea food restaurant. Walking distance to Funchal. About 40 minutes of stunning views and nice places to take a break along the way.

Compact, bright one-room apartment with a nice ocean-view from the balcony. Very convenient as a base - though it is relatively far from the center (1 hour by foot, the bus takes about 20 minutes), it is close to the beach and the city-exit. There is a large shop opposite and a bus stop next to the house. To sum up, a great place for a base. We were a bit worried about the soft bed, because people write about it in the comments, but in the end we slept really well on it (and we are used to a harder mattress). The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and even more.

Great location! Beach near by, despite steep way to it. Great groceries shop and pharmacy across the street. Bus station in front of drive way. Parking places in backyard of apartment. Great swimming pool although was not alight in dark hours. Still possible for swim though. Quite nice view to ocean from balcony/window. Easy to access - just 2nds floor by stairs.
