The location of the apartment is very central and also close to the nice promenade by the ocean. There are lots of bars & restaurants nearby (Olivia next door is excellent!). You can also find small grocery stores with the necessities in the neighboring streets. The roof terrace gives an extra space and is handy to have breakfast al fresco. Good shower and fairly spacious bathroom. There is a public underground parking 7 min by foot away where you can park for 5.50 euro per day (you can take the car out once per day), but you need to actually go to the staff, let them know the number of days you are going to part the car and pay in advance. Otherwise it will charge you 10 euro for 24h (when you take a normal ticket). There is a guy who speaks English if you are lucky to see him, otherwise it can be tricky to communicate;). Don't park for long (or better at all) in front of the house, as the police are walking around and fining cars that are parked in that little street. There is a very nice little cafe & art shop opposite the parking building - Art Food Corner that serves good coffee with plant based milk, breakfast & vegan cakes. It's worth checking it out. The staff are super friendly too:). Prima Caju (about 15 min by foot) has also a good range for breakfast & nice ambience. Madeira is absolutely stunning - enjoy:)!
