Love the authenticity of this stunning onsen. A visit one will not forget. The hosts were beautifully attentive and security minded. I would have stayed longer if I could.

We loved our stay in the Asumi Onsen! The hosts are so lovely! The room was very clean and beautiful! The place is so peaceful, we had an excellent sleep! And the private onsen was really good too! I am gluten free, so the hosts made sure that I could eat everything for breakfast, so I really appreciated as it is hard for me to eat in Japan and the breakfast was excellent!

Hosts are absolutely amazing people. Very nice, very polite and willing to help as much as they can. House is very typical and quiet. Breakfast are good! Futons aren’t really confortable but it’s part of the experience so I would still recommend for one or two nights max. Location is pretty far from the city centers and points of interest but we did everything by walking and it was okay.

The place was very quiet and amenities were good. Hosts both helpful and kind. My reccomendation is to walk a short distance and take a bus to the train station. Area around house is quiet as well. Nice scenic spots around the place.

The place is really beautiful, quiet and traditional, there are 2 private onsens, which is really appreciable after a long day of walk! The owners are really sweet people who take very good care of their guests.

The house was marvellous, as our traditional room. Everything was clean and tidy. The Onsen was clean and nice. The owner helped us reach our destinations every day to trade-off the lack of a bus stop near the house.

Absolutely everything. The couple who own the place are so friendly and accommodating, they made us feel very welcome. We rented a yukata each for a very reasonable price, used the massage chair and private onsen. The value for money was incredible! We also had a lovely breakfast in a beautiful Japanese room. The whole experience felt very authentic and it’s great we could do that with young children.
