It's a very traditional house, 200 years, full of history. The Futons prepared by the owner were extremely comfy!! And the owner, Honjo San, he is very kind and very nice. He is also very thoughtful!!

Staying at Umeya was definitely a highlight of our trip in itself. Honjo was incredibly attentive and caring to our needs, and told us about the wonderful history of this centuries old house. It is located just minutes away from one of the most beautiful shrines I got to see in Japan, I'll never forget the trees leading towards the shrine! Thank you Honjo :)

It's such a cool traditional house, spacious and beautifully decorated. Honjo was very kind and helpful host, he gave me bicycle for free, and brought me to bus station after checkout. If you don't like boring hotels, welcome!
