The fine print
In the evenings, we ask our guests to dress appropriately in bars and restaurants. Therefore, no swimwear, flip flops, sleeveless shirts or sportswear are allowed. Gentlemen are also asked to wear long trousers or smart shorts for dinner. In order to make the Gala Dinners on December 25 and 31 a memorable occasion for everyone, gentlemen are kindly asked to wear elegant long trousers and a jacket or a tie.
The Origen restaurant is open according to the season and the occupancy. When closed we offer the following: breakfast and dinner services will be served in the Food Market restaurant in the area set aside for Esencia guests. At dinner, in addition to the buffet meal, Esencia guests will have the option of ordering meat or fish served at the table.At dinner, apart from the buffet food, Hotel Esencia guests will have the option of ordering meat or fish served at the table.

Picking up a last minute deal that was to good to pass up on meant I was at the La Palma Princess for a little bit of winter sun in November. I stayed half board on the escenia (adults only) and it is was just what the doctor ordered. Facilities are slightly below that of other TUI platinums I have stayed in, as slightly more on the basic side, however the stay was overall pleasant. I didn’t use the main pool at all so couldn’t comment, however on the escenia side all 3 pools were clean, well-maintained and one acclimated/acclimatised. Of the 3 restaurants, Origen was my favourite for dinner. All the staff were friendly, helpful and the live piano really makes it. The gentleman cooking fresh pasta is a really credit to the place! I also frequented El Mirador for Breakfast due to the views and unlike Origen, no booking was required. Both restaurants have a smaller selection than the main one but that is to be expected given it is not catering to the masses.

great location away from all traffic and tourist traffic. always better weather than the rest of the island. calm among the bananas. an ideal place for real relaxation as well as a starting point for car trips around the island.

Food selection on all meals was good, but usually the taste was bland, almost like hospital food. Lacked creativity.
