Liked my room and the location but it was a bit noisy in the evening. The restaurant has great views.

Location great, plenty of walks to be had. Bar area good with plenty of choice of drinks. Views lovely from the building. Breakfast was super, good quality ingredients. Rooms were basic and needed decorating. Plus bathrooms didn’t have any water pressure, constantly going hot and cold.

friendly stuff, nice area, cozy pub downstairs and good breakfast. Rooms a bit run down and the windows didn’t shut properly.

I loved the staff. The couple was kind and welcoming. As I understood they manage the hotel and pub only 2 of them. I booked my room quite late, but the hotel still had 2 vacancies. First I've got room 7. It was a superior room. But I didn't like it - there was a terrible smell of sewage. And bathroom with shower and green tiles. I asked to change the room and then they showed me another room - 6. The bathroom had green tiles too, but the smell was good. So I stayed there. The window was impossible to open for fresh air, but it was not so necessary. I had an amazing view of the hills. Sunrise was right ahead of my window, but they have quite good curtains. The breakfast was the usual English breakfast. It was fine . Overall I liked the place, it is worth the money I paid.

Great location for exploring the Peak District and very tasty bacon for breakfast. Unfortunately the bed was lumpy and the room was not clean - very dusty, cobwebs, mould in the bathroom and around the window, coffee stains on the drawers and toothpaste stains all over the bathroom. Slow communication from the host but very friendly and helpful
