Claire “Good location and a quirky place to stay. Go for it.”

This was a quirky little property and we enjoyed our one night stay. It is ideally poisoned if you are walking the Angles Way. We had a nice welcome and were shown to our room. I had not picked up from the pictures that one of the beds was on raised platform with a little ladder. This was a nice surprise and added to our stay. The kitchenette was adequate and we could easily make drinks and our breakfast. Directly opposite was a pub with a river side garden so evening meal was sorted too.
Penelope “Our week at the Blue Cabin.”

The Blue Cabin cottage was gorgeous. It was booked almost by a very lucky mistake, as we understood it was in Fritton. To our amazement we found we were adjacent to our son, who lives in St Olave's, not in Fritton. But across the road is the excellent pub-inn, The Bell, providing delicious food all day, also built in 1600, like the Blue Cabin. So very convenient, and there's a wonderful view from the small window in the top bedroom. Luckily there is double glazing in that room, otherwise it would be impossible to sleep. Traffic roars by for most of the day, and all night too, during our week's stay. Due to the age of the cottage, and the structural architecture, the steep twisting staircase, deep narrow steps, and low beams, I would not recommend people over the age of 50, to consider staying there, unless former dancers, or very athletic, and NOT too tall. The old iron, stand- alone bath tub is lovely, but needs a non slip mat in it, and certainly a shower curtain all around, to prevent flooding the bathroom. Tea towels, washing up brushes, new sponge, and at least two small recycling kitchen bins should be provided. Above all, a new, firm mattress is essential. The brass bed is beautiful, but the current mattress is uneven, and floppy, with hard nodules here and there. My husband and I slept, because we were house- hunting, and exhausted. Finally more than one bath towel on arrival please, for 2 people. We made do, also using the 2 small hand towels. 2 more bath towels were provided, on request, mid-week. Alison our hostess, and Graham our host, are really delightful Norfolk folk, and Graham could easily start a show on TV, for his genuine character and 🌞 bright personality. We hope to meet him again before long, when back in the area (perhaps for lunch at The 🔔 Bell).🍔🥘🧆🥙🥮🥧🍰
Rachel “A lovely overnight stay, right next to the marina.”

Such a quirky place, right next to the water, a pub across the road, easy parking - and close to St. Olave's Priory. I did not expect to have things in the fridge for me to use - bread, croissants, butter, jam, yoghurt, milk. That set me up well for breakfast. I had a really comfortable night. You can hear traffic on the road, but I don't think that could have gone on too late as I easily went off to sleep. I really loved this place to stay and wish I had been staying longer. Hopefully I'll come back, with perhaps a grandchild or 3!
