Location truly rural and peaceful. Rooms included a small decanter of very welcome Port. We three motorcyclists were the only guests staying. On arrival the young lady greeting us advised the chef had not been able to come in. However there was a fish pie available, or we could try the nearby village. We decided to stay and were very glad we did. A sumptuous meal of excellent starters, lovely fish pie, yummy desserts, accompanied by very good wine and coffee. At the equally good breakfast we met Maria, the young lady's mother, and chef, and host. She was very welcoming and apologetic for her absence the previous evening, the reason was very understandable. Would certainly consider again.

“An amazing rural B&B.”

The couple who run this B&B were absolutely amazing, they made our stay feel like we were staying with old friends. It was a last minute booking, but they greeted us with open arms and they made us a delicious evening meal. The room was very comfortable and warm. The views of the countryside were outstanding and seeing the local workers tend the grape vines in the morning gave justice to this rural hotel…It’s a real gem.

Fantastic location to stop after riding along N222 the Duoro valley. The swimming pool was very welcoming after a long day riding and our host Margarida prepared us all a fantastic evening meal and drinks.

A beautiful property surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Margarida is a fantastic host, very caring and full of interesting stories (she was particularly interested in us because she worked in Ireland years ago as an au pair and we were her first ever Irish guests). The large room was very comfortable and on the desk there was a decanter of Port with 2 glasses, and a jar of home grown and almonds. Delicious breakfast served outside (Margarida makes all the jams herself), and the complex has a beautiful pool.
