Comfortable, good sized rooms, staff incredibly friendly and accommodating, breakfast delicious, swimming pool absolutely perfect and impeccable location to get away from people and noise.

Location and welcome were great The building is beautiful Best is to take the boat from there and come back by train!

Great views over the Rio D’ouro from the one side, the other faces the railway. The hotel is built on several levels necessitating the use of a lift between the higher floors and the dining room ( for an excellent European style breakfast) and the pool which as during our stay the temperature reached the high 30s was delightful. Tua itself is a small town with three decent restaurants and proved a good centre for travelling along the higher reaches of the river and visiting vineyards, although the main centre for these is based in Pinhão.
