Lovely location. Great parking. Check-in was easy. The receptionist was away from the desk, so staff from the bar offered to check us in. She came back and greeted us with a smile . Our room was easy to find, spacious, and very light with large windows. Ensuite was superb with an amazing shower. Bed was very comfortable and had sockets to charge your phone at the side of the bed. The room came with bottled water & hot chocolate, as well as the usual tea & coffee. Kettle didn't work, notified reception who immediately replaced it with an apology. Nice to see you separate the rubbish in your room for recycling After a walk along the locks, we had a drink in the bar, although we didn't eat we could see others. They were cheerfully greeted, food came promptly, and looked good. Great for watching a beautiful sun set.

The room was a good size and well equipped and clean. Lovely view, overlooking the locks and mountain range in the distance. Staff on reception were professional, friendly and helpful. Good car parking facilities.
