Central - across from the lake - great views - short stroll to main street and the bridge.James was so helpful and attentive to anything we asked help with.HE UPGRADED US TO A ROOM WITH A VIEW OVER THE LAKE.Room 8 opened to a balcony to watch the beautiful sunset.Woke up to look out and see people jogging and fishing.5 minute walk for morning coffee at many of the cafes.Plenty of rooms segregated to where you would like to sit -the tab area - the main bar the restaurant - sitting room - music playing -outdoor area with outdoor gas heaters and viewing bar overlooking the lake.In short we parked the car and walked to everything we needed .

I have stayed here several times now and find the Lakes and Ocean Hotel great value for money. The room is always clean and comfortable and the meals are very good.

Nice views from windows the weather was quite wet windy and wet during my stay . The Rooms are cosy and warm. A option of a do not Disturb sign for your door. A lovely old school Hotel with the Quality experience of updated Rooms. A Small internal Lift is a Fantastic way to get upstairs to the rooms. For some of us our legs don't work like they used to. So overall it was a nice 4 night stay. Walk to local markets and more. Convenient location for any reason to stay in our beautiful Forster location. The Staff are very polite and welcoming. I would recommend this Hotel it's casual , it has many weekly lunch and dinner specials. If you enjoy a bit of music they have lots of weekly opportunities to catch up with friends or family or any occasion. Oh yes a courtesy Bus too 😉. Overall a Good Australian Pub/Hotel Experience.
