Loved the kitchen and the free food available. Confortable individual beds (not bunk beds). Clean. Very friendly staff.

I must admit, "My friends" exceeded my expectations. First thing, the structure has recently been renovated fairly recently and the staff is doing an excellent job keeping it clean. The kitchen is well equipped and there's even a proper barista-style coffee machine, and breakfast (yogurt, biscuits, eggs) is included. The staff are very friendly and polite and ready to help. Finally, the location is perfect both for exploring the historical city centre and going to perhaps less central areas (e.g., the stadium) by public means from the Fortezza station which is a two-minute walk away. Needless to say, Santa Maria Novella station is also very close. So all in all, highly recommended! P.S. I should mention that I got a "free upgrade" to the female-only part of the hostel (next door) but I believe the mixed-gender part is just as good, after all, it's run by the same staff :)

You can take food anytime. They clean and make the bed everyday!! The environment is comfort and safe!
