Hotel Giappone is inside a Historical Florentin Palace.
It is located on the third floor, with NO LIFT (unfortunately there is not enough space to build an elevator)Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Location was ideal for exploring Florence. 5 minute walk from the Duomo, and within 10/15 min walk from many historical points of interest. The hotel was located on the top floor of an old Florentine building accessible only by stairs (so bear this in mind when booking). The shower room was quite small, but good for the average person, but more than made up for by the spacious double bedroom. Stepping out to start walking to various locations, you are not short of options for food, drinks or simply a coffee. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and very accommodating if arriving outside of regular active hours for reception. If you are visiting for a few days and want to be t the heart of Florence, this is an ideal location.
