We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Althea rooms. The location was super convenient, very close to the old town yet in a part of Florence that still felt local and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and communication was prompt and clear. The room was airy and spacious, and cool even in the heat. Although no breakfast was provided, there are many cafes and bakeries nearby, as well as many restaurants for dinner. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after our check out time with no problems.

Loved the location of Althea Rooms! More in the local area of Florence as opposed to the tourist area, with it being an approximately 20 minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station. All excursions within Florence could be walked to, with the furthest being the Piazzale Montelungo (Coach/Bus station for day trips), with that being just shy of 30 minutes. The owner was extremely helpful and his communication was brilliant. The room was very clean! Liked how they also had an eco approach with changing the towels every 2 days, as opposed to every day. Breakfast wasn’t included, however no complaint when we enjoyed touring the local cafes for breakfast. S.FORNO in particular have some delicious croissants!

Located just off Piazzo Santo Spirito on a very quiet street. Lots of restaurants and bars within a 2 minute walk. The little bar closet to the rooms is well worth a visit & is much cheaper than others around. The hosts are extremely helpful & courteous.

The host was very communicative, friendly, and attentive. I received the check-in instructions on time, along with helpful directions on how to easily reach the apartment. The room was clean and well-maintained. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary breakfast snacks, coffee, and water upon arrival – for which we're very grateful. You can reach the main landmarks on foot, and there are several bus stops nearby. Since the area is car-free, the street is peaceful and quiet, with no traffic noise.
