The fine print
Please note guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. The credit card holder needs to be present and the credit card needs to match the one used to guarantee the booking.In case the booking is done by another cardholder, other than the guest, the resort will need proof such as the copy of the back and front of the card, a correspondence of the cardholder allowing the resort to use the credit card as well as the ID card/passport of the cardholder.Room rates on 24 December include a Christmas gala dinner and the rates on 31 December include a New Years gala dinner. Any guests in excess of the maximum occupancy of the room, including children, will be charged separately.As per section 5 of the "The financial Intelligence and Anti-Money Laundering Act": "any person who makes or accepts any payment in cash more than 500,000 rupees or an equivalent amount in foreign currency shall commit an offence.
Section 8. of the same Act Provides that any person who commit such an offence shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 2 million rupees and to penal servitude for a term not exceeding 10 years.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. The hotel is gorgeous and it has the most beautiful beach in Mauritius. Sunset is also amazing. The Spa is great and good value for money. Our massages were one of the best we ever had. Shout out to Shey/ Shayk (not sure how to spell his name) male massagist from the spa who was great.

The personal touches were excellent. The operations manager Scyam went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. He knew us by name and introduced himself to us even when we were taking a walk outside the hotel. The reception staff, Aashna, welcomed us and made us feel special. We will treasure all the special moments the hotel created for our wedding anniversary, the special dinner in the Mare Mare where the restaurant manager also made our evening great. The breakfast in bed topped everything. The gifts we loved them, my husband's straw hat, and my beach bag made our day. From our first day to our departure, we had a wonderful time. Thank you.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sugar Beach! The hotel is beautifully located right on the beach, offering a stunning 180-degree panoramic view of the sea and Le Morne. There are plenty of excellent facilities to enjoy, whether you're visiting as a couple or with family. The staff were absolutely fantastic – they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special throughout our stay. Their warmth and attentiveness made such a difference. A particular thank you to Namdeo Santos (Operations Manager) and Scyam (Manager), who looked after us so well! We also want to give a special mention to Sireen, the manager at Buddha Bar – what a wonderful person! She made us feel completely at home and made every lunch, dinner, or drink a lovely experience. Her kindness and attentiveness really stood out – she was amazing, and we’ll truly miss her! All of the staff were so lovely and really made us feel special. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Our room was beautifully designed, with a breathtaking view of the sea. It had all the amenities you could possibly need and a very comfortable bed – perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The beach itself is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water – the view is absolutely spectacular. Every restaurant we visited offered not only excellent food but also lovely views and fantastic service. Buddha Bar was a real highlight for both lunch and dinner – great atmosphere and delicious food. Mare Mare, located on the other side of the resort, also offers gorgeous sea views, fantastic cuisine, and excellent cocktails – ideal for a relaxing afternoon or an evening out. The spa was a serene little haven. We had a couples massage before our flight, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. We would absolutely recommend Sugar Beach to families, couples, or friends looking for a memorable getaway. Thank you, Sugar Beach –Mike Ross & Alex Brown/ Miss Ross :D

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the hospitality exceeded all expectations! Every staff member was fantastic, especially David and Scyam — they truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. The location is perfect, with stunning beaches and gorgeous rooms!
