We had a lovely time staying at Villa Chanteraine, set in beautiful Normandy countryside. The bedroom is cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. Chantal and John are lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Convenient location near the motorway and very close to beautiful Villedieu les Poeles.

Very convenient stop over en route to Mt St Michel , only a couple of mins off motorway . John and Chantal are great hosts . Lovely rooms . Great places to eat in nearby village of Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny esp le Creperie.

John and Chantal are so lovely and welcoming, as is their gorgeous dog! We were offered drinks on arrival and John kindly rang around the local restaurants for us and another couple who arrived at the same time, to ensure we got a reservation. The setting is very peaceful but only 5 -10 mins drive to the local town which is very pretty and has quite a few restaurants and shops. The room was perfect, with comfy beds and a really good shower. We would definitely stay again en route to/from ferry port.

The hosts of this beautiful Villa are just amazing! I had car trouble and wasn't able to find a taxi on a Friday evening; when I called the hosts, they right away offered to come pick me up. I had an excursion planned the next day, and again, they offered to drive me there and pick me up later that day. In the meantime John arranged a lot of things so my car was fixed that same day (while I was on my excursion) and they drove my car back to their place when everything was sorted out. I think this says a lot about the kind and helpful nature of Chantal and John. I felt as a guest in their house instead of someone just renting a hotel room. These hosts will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Besides the hospitality, the villa and room were also just perfect. The villa is surrounded by flowers and there are some nice views. The facilities were all that you need and more. And a lovely breakfast was served every morning. The location of the Villa is central and perfect for trips to the coast.
