There was nothing to dislike. We opened the door to a warm welcoming ambience. Beautifully decorated throughout for Christmas and mince pies awaiting. The perfect place to celebrate Christmas. Lilac Lodge was exactly as described, but still exceeded our expectations with all that our Hosts had provided to ensure a cosy, relaxing and restful environment. Sadly I forgot to write in the Visitors Book. I would also have liked the opportunity to meet our Hosts, to say a personal thankyou.

Wonderful dog paddock and lovely quiet location. Access roads are rough but the wildlife around you makes up for that. Met wild boar in the lane and neighbours have chickens, sheep and goats. The lodge was very pet friendly. Dog bowls, bed and mud daddy provided. The beds were comfy and the lounge area had good facilities.

Amazing place to stay, fully stocked with everything you need and more! Great communication and the nicest place I've ever stayed, and the area is stunning. Much needed getaway.

We loved the rural setting and the accommodation had everything we needed. My little boy loved seeing deer and wild boar wandering around outside.
