“Lovely peaceful stay with wildlife and stunning coastal attractions.”

Self catering, lovely peaceful location, view from the front of the property is fields and sheep. Step out of the property and the listen to the skylarks. Watch the barn swallows as you sit outside with a cuppa. The main bedroom has a floor to ceiling window where in a morning you can watch hares, wagtails, and look out on to farm life. A 5-10 minute walk takes to Thornwick bay and North landing bay. There are two pub/hotels within a 5 minute walk where you can eat out. There are coastal walks with stunning views.

“Really cosy accommodation with friendly hosts who made our dog welcome too.”

The farm location of Jenny Wren suited us. It was quiet, with the only noise from an excited sheep chasing the farmer as it fussed for its breakfast. The Highland cattle were beautiful. Our little dog was made welcome. However the best thing for us was how cosy the property was - essential for a UK stay at any time of year. The control of the heating was left to us, so we could turn it up when we arrived back after a day out and back down again when we were ready for bed. We found the bed comfy and both slept really well. The property was spacious, and met our needs. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We couldn't get the tv to work properly, and despite their efforts, neither could they. So they went and bought a new one!

“Very good”

Great place for dog owners and walkers alike. A lovely and communicative host. We travelled with our German Shepard for a long weekend away. The cottage itself is part of a converted barn complex made up of 5 or so holiday lets on a working farm (worth noting). Jenny Wren is a great sized property spread over one floor, with an entrance hall, 2 good sized bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a large bathroom and a large kitchen/Living area. All floors are tiled and all rooms have underfloor heating. The only thing to note here is, the property also has huge windows. When sunny it acts like a green house, so you have to work with the heating accordingly (or you end up in a sauna :D ). The property also still retains some character features such as the wooden beams and brick walls and pillars which adds to the charm of the place. Outside there is a grassed area with picnic tables and BBQ's for when the weather is warmer. There is also a large parking area, so no issues there either. The North landing and cliff top walks are minutes away and there are a couple of nice pubs within walking distance. The Viking Hotel being very dog friendly, with great staff, good food and on some nights, live entertainment. All in all a great weekend away.
