Lovely room, with beautiful view right on to the water. Kim was really helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the breakfasts and food left in the room on arrival. The location, about half way between Kirkwall and Stromness is very convenient. Its a good idea to plan and book restaurants/cafes ahead.

A superb stay at this wonderful accommodation. Kim was very welcoming. We were blown away by the standard of the accommodation. The big window gave stunning views. The breakfast arrangements were excellent. We also brought food for an evening meal which we could heat in the microwave. We enjoyed the jacuzzi bath! Waterside house is a “gem”

Waterfront House is a guest house on the sea shore north of Kirkwall. There are just two rooms. Ours was large, clean and comfortable with a view directly over the sea - we were watching curlews feeding on the foreshore. The house fronts on to the 'main' road to Kirkwall but this is pretty quiet and did not disturb us. Breakfast is a DIY continental affair on the landing with cereals, porridge, bread etc provided. Each room has a fridge so we could keep other items there. Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy but you will need a car as there is no nearby bus stop.
