The hotel staff, without exception, were extremely friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We dined each night in the restaurant and sampled both the Moroccan and European menus. All dishes were tasty, well prepared, and well served. Also, good value. The hotel is situated just inside the Medina walls at one of the quieter points of access.. From the taxi drop off to the hotel was easy with the hotel porter waiting to meet our car. Getting into the centre of the Medina by foot was fairly simple. The walkways are steep and this needs to be considered if you have mobility issues. So saying, from what we saw of the Medina, most of the access points have steep descents. Please read below regarding some construction works there at present. However, even considering these, we were delighted with our stay and are planning a return in 2027.

This felt like it had been a grand hotel at one point, but was eerily quiet. We did see a few other guests at breakfast but only a handful given the size of the hotel. This place while still lovely needs some TLC to return to it's heyday. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Several small things need fixing in the rooms. Parking is a short walk away (public car park). Construction around didn't bother us.

The service was exceptional. We were very well taken care of by the staff at Ommeyad. Moreover, the room was very spacious and equipped with all the amenities that made our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable.

The view from the restaurant, the bedroom (large comfortable bed) and the garden. The masseuse and the lady in charge of reception were both wonderful.
