In our 15 days, we had six bookings. On this I think we dropped the ball a bit. Honestly, we didn't like our room and it was our mistake that we hadn't booked a bigger room, as there are some on offer. To be clear, that was our fault, not theirs, but it made it an uncomfortable stay. We solely chose this riad (over two other similar ones) based on reviews about how welcoming the hosts were, but check in was a bit odd, leaving us feeling, they were confused with our arrival (we were on time). Locating this riad is not easy, as it is up a side street concealed, Narnia-like, by a clothes stall, and in Fes, people are a bit more forward in engaging you: look at your phone, and they are on you. We had taken a Moroccan SIM, but as many others state, Fes is a GPS blackhole. (We took a tour for exploring Medina. Essential.) Breakfast was available and was fine but, we detected some reluctance; asking for 8, told 9, which made a rush for our first tour. As we had even earlier tours the other days, we didn't even bother asking, though on our last morning they did kindly leave us a few bits in a bag on our door handle (which tips my overall score up a point). Overall, was okay, but would take a standard room. I mean, I can't fault the value for money; it's a place to stay and you'll be out most of the time. In the end, the hosts were okay. Thanks

Absolutely the perfect place to stay in Fes! The room was beautiful, authentic tile everywhere! the breakfast very good with traditional foods. The staff extremely kind! It was a quiet, calm, peaceful oasis in the middle of the Medina, highly recommend! Also, my daughter left her stuffed animal there and they contacted a friend who lives near us who is bringing it when she returns, so very kind and went out of their way to help us!

Our experience matched our expectations. The riad was clean, tidy, and comfortable — a cozy place to come back to after exploring the city. One of the highlights was its location: surrounded by charming cafés and great restaurants just steps away. Overall, we’d rate it a solid better-than-okay stay — nothing fancy, but definitely pleasant and convenient.
