Mr. Butler and his wife were incredibly welcoming and supported us with every request. The accommodation is in a guesthouse furnished in a typically Chinese style, and that alone is an experience. Solid wood or lacquered furniture, porcelain, and paintings give the feeling of being in a beautiful museum. There we also experienced the tradition of Chinese tea, from preparation to tasting.

It’s super nice, modern rooms, very clean, charming lobby and terrace and a perfect location, steps away from the river just enough for a perfect sleep away from the noise. The service is amazing! Extremely welcoming hosts, great attention to detail, always trying to make your feel as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was also very good and they even gave us a goodbye present. I injured my ankle and they were always looking after me, got me medicine and helped me out. Couldn’t recommend it more! A 10/10.

All the staff were very friendly and exceedingly helpful especially when one of us lost our suitcase, they helped us with police report and liaise with them all the time about the progress. We were so amazed by China’s police efficiency as they found the suitcase in 3.5 hours!! People are kind and approachable, we feel safe travelling in China even it’s our 1st time. (10 days in the country, 21 days more to travel China 🇨🇳
