It is a very nice hotel in a pretty village. We liked all the premises, the garden, all the rooms fabulously decorated. And excellent breakfast.

And what it is, is perfectly, unmistakably German: precise, tidy, and run with the kind of order that makes the world feel briefly in balance. We rolled in on motorcycles, dusty from the road, dripping with the mixed perfume of fuel and rain. No fuss, no sideways glances — just a smile, a key, and the quiet assurance that things here work exactly as they should. There’s safe parking out back, street parking out front, and a sense of calm that seems to seep out of the cobblestones. The rooms are what you want after a long day in the saddle — spotless, functional, and calm. But the heart of Niemeyers is the breakfast: a spread that could only have been put together by someone who truly cares. Fresh bread, cheeses, charcuterie, eggs, and coffee that doesn’t mess around. It’s not about extravagance; it’s about getting it right. Dinner was just as on point — a restaurant that doesn’t need gimmicks because it has skill. Impeccable service, quietly attentive without being overbearing. By the end of the night, we weren’t just fed, we were restored.
