Guest houses Overview

Situated less than a 10-minute walk from the centre of Exeter and a 20-minute drive from the Dartmoor National Park, it is next to the beautiful St Davids Church and cemetery. Townhouse Exeter is a Grade II-listed Victorian property modernised to provide guests with en-suite rooms and free WiFi. Some rooms have feature fireplaces and all come with towels and free toiletries. This guest house is committed to use locally sourced fair trade, home made and free range products when possible. The antique shops and boutiques of Topsham are a 20-minute bus-ride away, and a wide array of water sports can be enjoyed in Exmouth. The M5 motorway is just over 10 minutes drive away providing onward travel to Bristol and beyond. The major port of Plymouth is just under an hour away by car. Exeter University is 15 minutes walk away and a 5-minute stroll from Exeter Central Railway Station. If booking with breakfast, our continental styled breakfast is served in-room, delivered straight to your door in the morning.

Features premium Hypnos single bed, comfy duvet and pillows, and an external private bathroom with a bathtub only. The private bathroom is located directly opposite to the bedroom, and bathrobe&slippers are provided. Features USB charging ports, a TV, blackout curtains, and tea&coffee facilities. The room is located on the second floor, accessed by two flights of stairs. The room may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

What a cute, cozy, little room! Frankly, it's quite small (might be a little too small for some, but Townhouse Exeter has many other types of rooms available), but this was exactly what I was expecting - it provided everything I needed for a short stay. I loved the charm of the place, and the host is super friendly. I would definetly book it again.

Lovely people, great location for visiting my son at Uni. Breakfast was fabulous - exactly what I like, but jazzed up to be a real treat. The bed was comfortable.. usually when I am not at home I have a sore back in the morning from a hard bed.. but this bed was perfect.
