Quintessential English B&B. Lovely staff who were super helpful. Our room (4 pax) felt a little crowded but honestly a wonderful place to stay and wished we had stayed a little longer. We skipped brekkie but it smelt brilliant.

Very friendly, helpful staff and an excellent location. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with plenty of towels and refreshments. Breakfast was great, with a huge choice in offer too.

The hotel is quirky in a nice way - it is a slightly rambling conversion of a town house, with nice touches of earlier times (valve radios and dial telephones). The staff were wonderful from the outset - making sure I had parked correctly (in their own parking at the back). I came down for breakfast rather late (45 mins late!), but the host offered to cook me a bacon sandwich and also gave me a nice cup of coffee. This was unexpected and very welcome - thank you! Also, the room and its shower room were perfectly clean, if compact!
