The Devon Hotel was immediately off the highway, meaning no winding through industrial areas, central town streets etc. Reception was very friendly and welcoming, check-in quick and efficient. Our immaculately-clean and fresh-smelling room was ground level, quiet, and had parking immediately outside the door, so no lugging suitcases up stairs, onto elevators etc. There was even a small fridge next to the bed, the first we have encountered in three weeks of UK hotels. The restaurant attached has the most excellent buffet-style carvery available, with very reasonable prices. We only stayed one night, but couldn't be happier.
