The staff is helpful and kind. During our stay, there were lots of families with toddlers, and our baby could spend a lot of time watching them play :) The farm is nice, and I think we would have enjoyed riding bikes across the territory if the weather allowed.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was really well laid out and appointed for a small family, with living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs leading on to a patio and small pool, and 2 good sized en suite bedrooms with small balconies upstairs. The hotel catered really well for families with toddlers for the most part: there was a great kids menu, open playroom next to the restaurant, additional playroom as part of the kids club, farm animals available to visit, and the indoor pool is heated to 30 degrees. The staff mostly went out of their way to make my 22 month old daughter feel welcome and to make sure we had everything we needed for her, including giving us cartons of milk in the restaurant, providing a changing mat in the villa and giving us a cuddly toy and rubber duck for her. During the week they also seemed to do a good job of trying to make sure the younger children did not disrupt guests without children too much - seating people without kids outside and those with kids indoors at the restaurant for example, and they have a number of adult only swimming pools and designated adult only times in the spa (at the weekend there were a lot of families with older kids so understandably it seemed harder to get that balance right and keep to these rules so I am not sure how enjoyable the hotel would be if you don’t have kids with you and are visiting either during the school holidays or at weekends). We enjoyed the quiet setting in the countryside for walks and lovely views, found most of the meals in the hotel pretty good, and the staff across the restaurant, reception and housekeeping generally very welcoming, helpful and accommodating.

We had the most amazing time at Octant Évora. Thank you!! We were travelling with our 1 year old daughter and this is the first truly family friendly hotel we have ever been to. There were toys and play areas everywhere. Small details like microwaves, bottle warmers etc. baby monitors. Everything was made so easy. The hotel itself is lovely and feels very luxurious. There is one pool for kids and three separate adult only pools which are beautiful. We left our daughter napping and enjoyed spending time in the adult pools which are small and intimate - we mostly had a pool to ourselves which was amazing. The hotel has great grounds, animals you can meet and a lovely lake walk. Staff were super friendly, helpful and generally brilliant. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with young families, but anyone could have a nice time here
