I really recommend John's place! I extended my stay because I found Johns place to be the perfect place to explore the wider area. I found the room to be comfortable and clean, good WiFi for the work I needed to do. But most of all.... john himself was such a great host! Patient, friendly, helpful, a true local who is excellent in all his advice and suggestions. Around the guesthouse are plenty of things in easy walking distance: chai stalls, restaurants, temples, ferries,... You're really in the heart of the city. I'll definitely stay again if I'm in the area :)
