Sorial “Lovely apartment in a historic city”

Lovely room at the top of an old building in town. Our host Francesca was helpful with advice about parking which was in a car park nearby and if staying overnight you need to stop at the police booth near the gondola to get a weekly ticket for 15 euros or you can take your chance on finding a car park. We dropped off our bags at the end of the street about 20 metres from the door as there are 40 stairs up from the car park. Note that the road shown on google maps coming from the south or east is quite tight and challenging but there is a much easier road on the north side of the town. The guest accommodation is spacious and there is a shared kitchen available for you to store your drinks and a kettle. The room is not far from the castle and the town is quite small. We did a tour of the churches and they are varied and interesting and you do not need a guide. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. The apartment has a terrace which has an amazing view of the sea. From the other side of the town you also get a good view of the Trapani salt flats.

The rooms were furnished with antique furniture which suited the old building. The bathroom was modern and the bed mattress very comfortable, everything exceptionally clean and fresh smelling . Breakfast was served outside on the terrace overlooking an old domed church and a panorama below of sea and mountains. Francesca and her son were attentive, very kind and easy going hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble.
