Very clean and well appointed. Small galley kitchen and dining area, but with 2 doors to a balcony with fantastic views over the river and town. Bedrooms are large and comfortable, and lockable for valuables. Parking is on the street outside, but easy. Host left us some nice treats and was very helpful. This has to be one of the best parts of the valley, being right on the confluence of two rivers. It really is extremely scenic. The village is very small, but there are a couple of small markets and several restaurants within a 10-15 min walk over the bridge, and a tiny cash only place almost next door. We visited very off peak, so it was gloriously sleepy in the whole area.

Beautiful location on Tamega river - at entrance to Duoro. Not too far upstream (great if you are not sure whether you want to spend too much time in a more remote location). Apartment is newly renovated, homely and spotlessly clean. Vera was attentive. We could not have asked for more. Would definitely come back.
