The property is super clean and has great views of the valley. Lovely shower/bathroom and bedroom. Has a modern vibe to it. We had the downstairs apartment which is perfect for couples or solo travellers. If you’re coming by car as we did, you have to park at the Embd cable car station and then walk 100m to the apartment. There’s a shop at the cable car station and a restaurant nearby. The road up can be tight in places, but overall easy to navigate, just take it slow in the winter months. We went in mid October and it was fine. About 20 min drive to Täsch. Bastian the host was informative and quick to respond to messages.

Matteral Lodge is tucked away in the perfect little spot in Embd—peaceful, scenic, and just the right kind of remote. Inside, it’s super clean, plenty of space to spread out, and there’s this surprise gem of a balcony that runs across the rooms, complete with a barbecue and absolutely unreal mountain views. Trust me, your camera roll won’t stand a chance.

Excellent and quiet location, great mountain view from every room. Quality level of furniture and equipment. Very friendly host. Attached beautiful garden with BBQ and comfortable sun beds still with the same view over the valley and mountains.
