Easy access to the centre, the cathedral and other sights. Several restaurants for dinner and afternoon tea, The bedrooms had tea/coffee making facilites and additional tea, coffee, milk etc easily available.

Nice clean modern rooms and nice pub . We booked four rooms and was pleased with the accommodation . We would have had breakfast but as it started at 10am too late for our train however this is being addressed . We would stay here again if visiting .

Short stay but enjoyed every minute. The staff in the restaurant couldn't have been friendlier or attentive, they even managed to get my shy daughter to talk to them. The location doesn't seem as central as it actually is, Cathedral is 10 minutes walk through The Cloisters shopping arcade and market square, Oliver Cromwell's House and Museum are within 5 minutes of the Cathedral. Sadly, poor weather prevented us from exploring further. The hotel also has an agreement with the gym next door for free passes during your stay and even offered to look after my 12 year old for an hour or so if I wanted to pop along. I hadn't realised that before travelling so didn't have any appropriate clothing for that (although there is a Sports Direct within The Cloisters, so I could have bought some). The meals are wonderful, large servings and good quality ingredients and not too pricy.

Perfect location, very quiet but close to city centre. Comfortable room. Very straightforward check in. Great food too.
