Keys are collected from the bar at the pub. There was no signage for guests and we waited some time to be noticed until we were greeted and shown to our room. No real intro to the area by a team member who was just finishing their shift, but overheard another member explaining where to eat to a later check-in guest (they don't do any food at the pub/hotel). Friendly enough staff from then on and a helpful member of staff in the morning to give the key back. A couple of pubs up the road serving food/dinner and a few places for breakfast nearby. There is a free car park just along the road to the right of the pub entrance, if you drive to the very back and through the gap then this conveniently brings you to behind the hotel/pub where you can cut through with bags.

Lovely, friendly staff. The pub is great and our room was clean and comfortable. A perfect location for where we needed. Comfortable bed and the room had everything we needed.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable and great value for the price. The staff are helpful and friendly. Food is not served but there are excellent cafés nearby. The pub serves an excellent range of hand pulled beers Highly recommend.

The staff were lovely. From the girl that checked me into (emma) I think. Beth who was very hospitable all evening and Helen the cleaner. Great choice of Ales, not a problem that they don't serve food as there is plenty of choice nearby. I'm not a fussy or complainative person, but if I don't mention the downsides , they will never change them and get negative reviews , which are not deserved. The room I was given was room 3.the decor was quite nice and had tea/ coffee making facilities. The worst thing about it for me, was that someone had obviously been smoking in there despite the requests not to and the markets policy. They should check the rooms when vacated and charge the idiots a fee against their card or through whoever booked it. Secondly..the carpet smelled horrible and needed cleaning or better still renewal. I did tell both the barmaid and the cleaner about this..thirdly!! Because the room smelt so bad , I had to have the window open constantly and the sound from the pigeons outside was annoying and I didn't sleep at all.. They changed my room on request the next night, which I asked to change the first night I arrived, but was told they were fully booked. Room 5 was fine apart from the view of a main road opposite the bus stop.
