Seating area outside with lovely view, sitting room of cottage was comfortable and full of character.

Lovely cottage. Beautiful location. Convenient for everywhere we wanted to visit. Some of the reviewers have been negative about the size of the shower but, honestly, it was perfectly adequate for my wife and I and neither of us are fashion models! I missed the part about "bring your own towels" but our hosts were happy to provide some for us anyway. Elsdon is a lovely, well kept village and so hard to believe it was once the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Border Wars.

Very cosy cottage in a lovely quiet location. Nice spacious kitchen diner area. Spacious living room. Roomy bathroom. Shower cubicle small but not a big problem! Comfortable bed, plenty of storage space in the bedroom.
