the location was great and easy to walk into town when we needed to. It was so lovely that the staff upgraded our room. i with the room had som more hedge plants covering the pool to give more privacy

There was an excellent buffet breakfast with a large variety of options available daily, all freshly prepared. Including several gluten-free options. The view from the dining room and terrace across the bay is spectacular. The hotel is built on a steep slope, but there was always a cheerful staff member waiting to ferry us up the hill in a golf buggy.

It is a fabulous place to stay. Just 2km from Elounda, which is a really pretty fishing village with plentiful restaurants, supermarkets, and shops. There is a path that you can walk along from the hotel to the village about a 20min walk. The hotel is fabulous, each room has either a jacuzzi or a small plunge pool, and all rooms have a sea view of sorts. It's definitely worth paying for a full sea view as it is stunningly beautiful. The rooms are very clean and ours was very spacious but some of the cheaper rooms are small. Breakfast is buffet style, with plenty of choice. The food in the evening is also buffet style, but the restaurant is fairly small, so whilst there are choices, it hasn't got the great big trays of food you normally get. They are planning to build another restaurant this winter which may give you more choice but we liked the smaller place. It was also never packed. The pool area has been re built for this season and is stunning, with comfortable beds and, again, sea views. There was no problem getting beds as there were plenty, and the hotel was full. The pool bar serves great food, cocktails, ice cream, and the normal drinks with waiter service to your sun bed. Being adult only, it was peaceful and tranquil, we had a great relaxing time. What really makes this place, though, is the staff. Without exception, they can not do enough for you, great customer service from every single person.
