I’ve had the best time at New Farmers. I Even came back to Ella a second time, it’s the best. It’s a Little further down the road but totally worth going there especially because they will also organize you a scooter. 100% recommend!

The hosts, Damianti and Ari, are a really lovely couple who made us feel very welcome. Damianti made us delicious breakfasts and the dinners were great too, with so many fresh vegetables grown in their field. The view from the balcony is vast and it's a nice space to spend time in. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. You can access the rail tracks for an easier walk into Ella town centre in about 30mins (daytime only as the short path up/down to the railway is very steep). We walked from the door to do the Ella Rock hike, which was great. And in the other direction you can easily hike to the Nine Arches Bridge (via the town). Their son drove us to the station at the end of our stay, which was very helpful.

Such a stunning place with a view it is impossible to look away from! The owners are very kind, and we had the absolute best food in Sri Lanka! Ella is accessible via a hike down the mountain, or the owner has a tuk tuk and will help you down and up.
