The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was good, good choice of western and Sri Lankan. The view from our balcony down Ella Gap was genuinely stupendous. 10-15 minute uphill walk to the village centre, 600Rs by TukTuk. Bathroom was a little basic though good water pressure and hot water. They are extending but the building work wasn't intrusive at all and some of the new rooms are very impressive.

Great location, out of the main strip but still walking distance (about 1.5 km). Great pool with an amazing view and incredible staff who could not do more to help!! Will be back here again!!

“Not really good value for the money”

Misty Hills has wonderful staff. It's a crew of super friendly, attentive and helpful people. Also, the beds are really comfortable and the showers (when taken at the right time) are nice and hot with lots of water pressure. The view from the top balcony is amazing, looking right down the gorge between Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. That said, we still felt cheated because we had booked our room for 75$ a night three months in advance. Don't make the same mistake. It's worth 50$ maximum because Misty Hills is getting rather old and worn now. The whole place needs a facelift. For example, the TV doesn't work (only available channel is ABC News Australia), the bathrooms are youth hostel style, the breakfast buffet gets boring quickly, and the pool is the size of four beach towels. But the worst part is the traffic noise at night, which makes it hard to go to sleep.

The staff are really nice and friendly. Very welcoming. It is a basic hotel but such a fantastic location and the pool is good. Slept very well on super comfy bed..with the sound of the waterfall adding to the tranquility. Breakfast was good too.
