We spent a few days at Ella Wood Cabin. I found it to be a wonderful place. It’s a small family-run West House. We loved both the rooms and the staff’s service. The rooms are large, clean, and have beautiful wooden decoration, with a large terrace offering great views. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have glass walls. The experience was exceptional. The hotel is well located, close to the main street, with restaurants, and shops nearby. We also arranged with them a transfer between Ella and Mirissa, stopping at Yala National Park, and everything went perfectly, punctual and very well organized. I totally recommend this hotel for spending a few days in Mirissa, as well as for organizing any transfer, tour, or activity you want to do in Sri Lanka. Many thanks to the staff at Ella Wood Cabin for making my stay so wonderful.

We absolutely loved our stay. Our host was fantastic and even surprised us with a room upgrade, which was such a lovely gesture. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area, and the breakfast was exceptional, with a great variety and quality. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’d definitely come back!

Hosts were great & collected us from Ella station. Good location close to all the restaurants/bars but far enough away to be quiet. Nice views looking at the hills with a good seating area. Surrounded by nature, lots of monkeys, giant snails & frogs. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of different bits & very tasty hoppers!

The owners of the property could not have been more helpful. The taxi i arranged for the airport did not show and the owners organised a taxi within 20 mins and at a cheaper rate. Will be forever grateful I arrived at the airport on time thanks to them! The room is clean and very cosy. The lighting is a nice dimmed warm light (unlike the bright white lights you usually find across Sri Lanka). Very good for nighttime as they are not too bright. Breakfast was delicious and gave me more than enough for 2 people. Just meters down a side street away from the noise but within a safe and very close walking distance. Would highly recommend and stay here again on my next visit to Ella 😊
