We had such a beautiful stay at Ella Hillside. The views were absolutely stunning, and it was so special waking up to monkeys nearby while enjoying a cup of tea on the balcony. The hospitality was incredible — so warm and welcoming and the Sri Lankan food was truly delicious. It made our stay feel authentic, relaxing, and one to remember.

The accomodation is located at a hill, but the slope is not that dramatic, its nothing unusual for Ella and tuk-tuk can drive there if needed. The view from the room is extraordinary. Even during the rainy day when our hiking plan was cancelled, we enjoyed sitting on the sheltered balcony and watching the nature at the area. The nature and the view is on point. Firtsly we were worried that it might be located far away from the center, but by walking to the center it was 10 minutes and the location is great as a starting point for hiking tours. The center of Ella is also quite noisy in the evening and early morning, so eventually we found the location of Hillsite View great. The room itself was clean and well-equipped. The blanket and bed sheets were comfortable 👌🏼 Many thanks to the family who hosted us at Hillsite View. The family took care for us, and created a space were we felt so welcomed and comfortable. It was indeed exceptional experience and I highly recommend to stay here.

The location up high in the hills had wonderful views. We could see wildlife such as squirrels, monkeys and colourful birds. It was quiet, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the host family lovely.
