Shoma “A peaceful room with a view.”

The room with a ceiling to floor glass window was out of the world. Add to that the glass door leading to the spacious balcony. It was truly like we were cocooned by Nature. But you have to climb up and down a good number of steps to reach this paradise… so not so good for bad knees. The bathroom had okish but wobbly fittings and needs some work. There is no inhouse dining but the guy who attended to us, Dilshaan, was almost as good as the room — ever smiling, helpful and courteous. The hotel is a little over 3 km from the city centre, a 600-800 LKR tuktuk ride away. There’s a highway in front so walking not advised.

This place is so beautiful, clean and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful! Special shout to Nissal who organised tuktuks and a taxi to our next location - thank you! The location is a walk or a short tuktuk ride away from Ella’s Main Street but tuktuks are easy to find and is worth it for the gorgeous view!

Beautiful views. Lovely helpful staff particularly Dilshan and Nisal. They made us takeaway breakfast for the train to Ella.
