I didn't know what to expect from El Ejido as it is the main town for the fruit industry in the south of Spain. We were passing through on a cycling trip. However it had plenty of life, nice bars and restaurants. Our host guided us to a lovely local tapas bar and it was excellent. The hotel itself was exceptional value for money. The cheapest of our whole cycling trip

Everything was as expected, or better. For some internal reason they gave me bigger room. There were also english speaking reception, unlike Booking.com information says.
