The hotel entrance is by the left hand side of The Scotsman steps, next to Brewhemia.At check-in, your credit card will be preauthorised for the full amount, plus a deposit to cover possible extra charges. The location was fantastic and our room had a fabulous view. The staff were very friendly and helpful, obviously keen to give guests an individual experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and overall had an excellent experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service was attentive and warm, and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, our arrival started on the wrong note. At check-in, the representative at the front desk (who we later understood was actually the manager on her last day of work) behaved in a rude and unprofessional manner. She tried to push us into an unnecessary upgrade — suggesting we spend one night in a suite and then move to another room — while all we wanted was to stay in the room we had originally booked for the entire stay. We explained this politely and clearly, but she responded with unnecessary rudeness. Thankfully, from that point on everything was exceptional. The rest of the team, including the management, were welcoming, professional, and went out of their way to make our visit special. Despite the unpleasant check-in experience, we left with very positive impressions and would gladly recommend the hotel to others.

Location is perfect, just the center of the old town, few steps to Waverley Train station, and picturesque & historic building The staff were very helpful, they even helped us to carry our baggages even inside the Waverley train station
