Please be advise that due to recent storm damage, we are carrying out necessary roof works in February. Scaffolding will be erected and may obscure some windows. Length of works is estimated to be around 3 weeks but this could be extended due to the findings.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. The entire hotel and room are beautiful, charming and well maintained. Room is spacious, spotless, everything you need in an apartment are available in the room. Slept great every night in a very comfortable bed and in a quiet, peaceful atmophere. Remnants of the historical headquarters of the Scotmans newspaper are seen everywhere inside the hotel, flooring, wall tiles, staircase. Very charming and special. Access to the building, room and storage for your luggage is easy and secure with code, Highly recommend this hotel for so many reasons including its location in the heart of Edinburgh.
