Very comfy beds. 50 steps from bus 34 into the city. Quiet location & quiet hours rules at night in the hotel. Kettle with tea & coffee supplied. The manager was very helpful & friendly.

Very nice, small, unpretentious hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, easy check in and out, no issues. Nice quiet area with easy access to Edinburgh centre by bus, but shops and restaurants also handy. Everything in the room worked, good shower, all basic necessities provided. This isn't a modern, fancy hotel; it's an old building with character and the rooms reflect that. The bed was comfortable, good view to Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill from the second floor, and wooden shutters kept the light out in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone who values quiet location and character over everything being newly built/renovated.

the shower was very good, the bed was as well, the room was very clean but also very small..however, the door was open to another room ... quite big and charming, overlooking Links Garden

I liked that there were instant coffee and tea bags offered at the room. The room had a noce oversight of a green park. The shower was also very nice.
