Very nice large Edwardian style hotel, lots of plush carpet wall to wall and wood panelling. Service is excellent and extremely good value for money. It was ideally located near the pier. Our room was very large having a choice of two single beds or one large double with acres of space in between. Room was nicely decorated and had all the facilities you would expect. View from the large windows overlooked the pier and the promenade and it was lovely to sit and watch the Street below. The open top tour bus starts directly outside the hotel. I asked about an evening meal which had to be paid for in advance and seating times were stricktly between 6 and 7. The large dining hall seats over 200 people and the staff catered for all these with ease. The staff say the hotel is very popular and full up year round. You have to pay for your meal before at reception but £20 gets you three courses and tea or coffee. The food is very well presented and whilst portions are not huge they are not small either. Menu is a quite limited and traditional fair but most people will find something to eat but its catering for masses not individuals. It has vegitarian and vegan options at both diner and breakfast.

Room had view over sea and pier,was much larger then our stay at Haddon Hall.Hotel was very roomy and we liked the large seating area downstairs.The stairways were nice and wide with comfortable tread height.Nice to see the stained glass windows.We did'nt use all the facilities there but did know about them.The mattress was top notch and we had a good nights sleep
