Room was compact ( a single ) but very clean and everything needed for the stay provided. Comfortable bed (one of my fears when staying in hotels is having a poor mattress and ending up with back ache by the end of the stay - but the mattress at the Langham was very good - firm and supportive). Good shower with plenty of power and all the usual towels etc provided. The breakfast really was excellent - with lots of choice and high quality. For example, you can have porridge with or without fresh fruit, cereal, full English, eggs Benedict, toasted bread with a variety of toppings like avocado or eggs, coffee/tea etc... I put this in detail because, when I was planning my stay, I couldn't find any prior reviews where they actually spelled out what exactly the breakfast was. Staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Although I did not have my dog with me, I noted how dog-friendly the area is - lots of hounds trotting around up and down the prom and on the beaches (although the beach near the hotel is predominantly pebbles, so if you have a dog with sensitive feet I guess that needs to be taken into consideration).

Quick and smooth check-in and out process, all done online. Staff were very friendly, the room was clean and duly serviced. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. Good vibe in the bar, with reasonable prices. Close to town centre and directly on the beach, which is very comfortable for local sightseeing. Have stayed in Eastbourne in different hotels, but this was the best value for money, I'll definitely go back.
