The location of the apartment is perfect, with the most wonderful views. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The apartment was extremely good value for money, right on the beach and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and balcony was a good size to sit on and watch the amazing sunsets every night (see photos) The Wave team were great, polite and helpful with anything that we needed we just had to ask. The day we left, our flight was not until 19:00 and they let us stay in the apartment until 15:00 which was really nice of them to do. They also arranged a taxi for our pick up and drop off at Tirane Airport. Waves is based along the promenade and there is a main road that runs parallel to this where you will find a couple of supermarkets. (2 minutes walk). There is also a small one right outside the reception. There is a Western Union shop (next to Spar supermarket) to change up money into Lek, you will need cash otherwise you have to use an ATM and there is a charge. You can use your bank card to pay for most things but having paper money is always handy, particularly if you are taking a taxi. Sun beds were 1000 Lek for 2 beds (very cheap) for the day. There are some quite large dogs that roam the beaches (see photo of one)but they are extremely docile and not anything to worry about unless you are really afraid of dogs but they don't bother you at all. They are tagged so you know they have been neutered and vaccinated. It's very cheap to eat in the restaurants, meals are no more than 1000Lek, water 250Lek (big bottle), coffee 200Lek, beer 250Lek and good value for money. There are multiple restaurants along the beachfront to choose from. The Cote (good breakfasts), Dyrrah Mare (nice pasta dishes) and the one below Wave (good Pizzas). I would not recommend a cesar salad anywhere because it's bulked out with way too much iceberg lettuce and drowning in sauce. We took a trip down to the south of Albania as we had heard it was amazing but to be honest, nice as it was, we much preferred Durres, it was more relaxing and not so hectic.
